Focus and Vision:  An Invitation from Jim Baum

If you happen to bump into me on the street or in the store, please ask me for a copy of the CommunityWorks booklet.  Page four has a wonderful paragraph that I consistently use as an example of what the Morris Community Foundation is trying to accomplish:

“But our focus is not simply on increased childcare, more jobs, and a better environment.  We are painting a much bigger picture.  We are building communities where people want to live and where families can buy the homes they like at prices they can afford.  Our communities are places where entrepreneurs start new businesses and established companies relocate.  We envision communities where people prosper, nature thrives, and our children enjoy lives fulfilled with unlimited possibilities.”

I added the emphasis to the last sentence because it is such a powerful statement and one that I believe everyone in Morris agrees with.
